  • PDC Inc is pleased to announce we are now one of the approved Charities available to support through the "GOOD COMPANY" Work place giving organisation. This is a fantastic coup, allowing both individuals to donate through this site, in addition to any workplacess that encourage Workplace Giving, to promote PDC Inc to their employees. Please visit http://www.goodcompany.com.au/charity/Painted-Dog-Conservation-Incorporated

Our current campaign, as featured on "Weekend Sunrise" by our Patron, Simon Reeve, was fundraisin to assist Kevin Richardson to transport two abused lion cub brothers from Madrid to South Africa. These cubs were being kept on a poor diet to keep them small, and were being used to earn income through photgraphs with tourists. CACH (Campaign Against Canned Hunting) discovered the cubs, arranged confiscation through appropriate Wildlife Authorities. Kevin's facility was named as the most appropriate "forever home" for the two cubs

We are pleased to announce through your generosity, PDC Inc was able to raise $11,000 towards this campaign, and also name the two boys "George and Yame"

Not only have they now arrived safely at Kevin's Sanctuary, but they will continue to be ambassador animals for the anti-cub petting and canned hunting campaigns.....so thank you once again.

Tony and his wife, Nicola, spend six months of every year traveling through Africa, where

Tony researches and writes his books. His books, FAR HORIZON (2004), ZAMBEZI (2005), AFRICAN SKY(2006), SAFARI(2007) , SILENT PREDATOR(2008), IVORY (2009) and THE DELTA (2010) deal with issues such as conservation, hunting, poaching, crime, and corruption.

Tony was born in 1964 and grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney. He has worked as a newspaper reporter in Australia and England, as a government press secretary, a public relations consultant, and a freelance writer.

He is also a major in the Australian Army Reserve and served six months in Afghanistan in 2002 as the public affairs officer for the Australian ground forces.

When they're not in Africa, camping in the continent's magnificent national parks and living out of the back of their old Series III Land Rover (which they leave garaged in southern Africa), Tony and Nicola live in Sydney.
